  • October 1951
    Kojiro Mitsuhashi opens Mitsuhashi Rice Shop in Namamugi, Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama.
  • 1959年
    Changed trade name to Mitsuhashi Shoji Co. (Capital: 5 million yen)
  • March 1968
    Newly built and relocated head office and rice milling plant in Higashiterao, Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama.
  • November 1974
    Large-scale rice milling plant completed at the same location.
  • August 1976
    Large-scale rice cooking plant (Kohoku Plant) completed in Shinwa-cho, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama.
  • December 1978
    Newly established Mitsuhashi Co.
    Ltd. succeeds to the operations of the former Hiratsuka Food Sales Cooperative and obtains a license as a rice wholesaler and distributor.
  • January 1981
    Mitsuhashi Corporation and Mitsuhashi Corporation were merged and the new company name was Mitsuhashi Corporation.

  • November 1981
    New head office building and large rice milling plant built in Saiwaiura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama.
  • January 1982
    Moved from Higashiterao, Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama to a new headquarters plant in Saiwaiura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama and started operations.
  • August 1990
    Formed business alliance with Moronuki Shoten, a rice wholesaler licensed by the Governor of Saitama Prefecture.
    Changed the company name to Mitsuhashi Rice Co.
  • March 1992
    Completed a new seven-story reinforced concrete distribution building on the site of the head office and plant in Saiwaiura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama.
  • July 1992
    Received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award in the new sales format category of the Award for Businesses Promoting Excellent Gohan Diet.
  • December 1995
    Changed representatives. President and Kojiro Mitsuhashi became Chairman of the Board and Miyuki Mitsuhashi became
    President and Representative Director.
  • November 1996
    With reliable technology and a strict quality check system,
    Mitsuhashi's highest quality brand "Iitokodori" is launched, which carefully selects only delicious and valuable rice.
  • December 1997
    Kohoku Plant office building completed.
  • October 1998
    Sapporo Plant opens (Iwamizawa City).
  • March 1999
    Mitsuhashi launches the Mitsuhashi Great Satisfaction Series.
  • June 1999
    Osaka office established.
  • December 2000
    Construction of wash-free rice plant (currently Gyoda Plant) completed.
  • March 2001
    Released "Mitsuhashi Gastronomic Brown Rice".
  • October 2002
    Merged with Mitsuhashi Rice Co.

    Completed construction of a new head office plant in Saiwaiura, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama.

    Sapporo Plant completed in Koei-cho, Ebetsu City. Moved from Iwamizawa.

    Construction of Kasukabe Factory completed as a rice cooking and processing plant in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture.

    Merged subsidiaries Takiya Corporation, Sunbridge Corporation, and Mitsuhashi Shoji Co.
  • October 2006
    Acquired shares of Fuji Deli Foods Co., Ltd. and made it a subsidiary.
    Invested in Rice World Corporation, a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation.
  • April 2007
    Company name changed from Rice World Corporation to Mitsuhashi Marubeni Rice Corporation.
  • July 2008
    Mitsubishi Corporation acquired 33.4% of the Company's shares.
  • January 2012
    President and Representative Director, Miyuki Mitsuhashi becomes Chairman and CEO,
    Yoshito Kizu was appointed President and COO.
  • September 2012
    Merged with subsidiary Fuji Deli Foods Co.
  • December 2012
    Subsidiary Mitsuhashi Rice Tokai Co., Ltd. begins operations (frozen rice business).
  • June 2014
    Head office and sales functions are relocated to Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama.
  • December 2016
    CHAIRMAN AND CEO, AND MIYUKI MITSUHASHI WAS APPOINTED CHAIRMAN AND PRESIDENT (CEO).
  • August 2017
    OPENED GOHANYA'GOHAN, AN EARTHENWARE POT RICE RESTAURANT IN MINATOMIRAI.

    President and Representative Director, Miyuki Mitsuhashi becomes Chairman and CEO,
    Daisuke Yamaguchi was appointed President and COO.

    Additional acquisition of shares of Mitsuhashi Marubeni Rice Co., Ltd. to make it a subsidiary.

    SUBSIDIARY MITSUHASHI MARUBENI RICE CO., LTD. CHANGES ITS NAME TO MM RICE CO.
